Twenty-five years ago, the world lost two great teachers of the powers of the mind. Robert B. Stone, author on harnessing mental abilities, passed away on January 5, 1999. José Silva, legendary founder of the world-famous Silva Method, passed away just weeks later on February 7, 1999.
José Silva was a pioneering researcher in the field of mind empowerment. He dedicated his life to unlocking the hidden potential of the human mind. After conducting 24 years of research, he released his findings in 1966 and spent the rest of his life perfecting and teaching The Silva Method. Today, his legacy is carried on through Silva International, an organization that is committed to continuing his mission.
Robert B. Stone, PhD, was an internationally known author, teacher, and expert in achieving the human potential. He was the author and co-author of over 80 books, most notably on self-help and powers of the mind, with sales in the millions. He lectured worldwide on human potential and was an instructor at the University of Hawaii on activating the powers of the mind. A MENSA member, he graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and was elected to the New York Academy of Science. A Silva Method lecturer for 20 years and Ambassador-at-Large, he collaborated with José Silva to communicate the Silva Method to the general public globally.
